Digital technology has become an increasingly important instrument for promoting social inclusion by improving access to information, education, employment, healthcare, financial services, and public resources. For marginalized communities, including low-income populations, rural residents, persons with disabilities, ethnic minorities, and socially disadvantaged groups, digital platforms can create new opportunities for participation and empowerment. However, unequal access to digital devices, internet connectivity, digital literacy, and affordable technology continues to reinforce existing social inequalities. This paper examines the opportunities and challenges associated with digital technology and its role in advancing social inclusion among marginalized communities. It explores how digital tools can facilitate communication, education, employment opportunities, access to essential services, and civic participation. At the same time, issues such as the digital divide, socioeconomic disparities, inadequate digital skills, privacy concerns, online discrimination, and limited technological infrastructure may restrict the benefits of digital transformation. The study highlights the importance of inclusive digital policies, affordable connectivity, digital literacy programs, accessible technologies, and community-based initiatives to ensure that technological advancement benefits all sections of society. It concludes that digital technology can contribute significantly to social inclusion when supported by equitable access, appropriate policies, and inclusive digital development strategies.
