Abstract

The rapid development of digital healthcare technologies has expanded the role of nurses in telehealth and remote patient care. Telehealth nursing can provide patients with health education, follow-up consultations, symptom monitoring, medication guidance, and chronic disease support without requiring frequent visits to healthcare facilities. This paper examines the contribution of telehealth nursing to healthcare accessibility and patient-centered care. Remote nursing services may be particularly beneficial for individuals living in rural and underserved areas. However, technological barriers, digital literacy, privacy concerns, and limitations in remote clinical assessment remain important challenges. Appropriate training, secure digital platforms, and effective communication strategies can strengthen telehealth nursing services and improve continuity of care.
