Abstract

Nursing education plays a fundamental role in preparing healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care. Nurses are directly involved in medication administration, clinical assessment, infection prevention, patient monitoring, and communication with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. This paper examines the contribution of nursing education to patient safety and quality of care. It focuses on clinical competencies, critical thinking, evidence-based practice, communication skills, and simulation-based learning. Strengthening nursing education can improve nurses' ability to identify risks, prevent clinical errors, and respond effectively to changes in patient conditions. Continuous professional development and competency-based training are also essential for maintaining high standards of nursing practice. Integrating modern educational approaches with clinical training can contribute to improved patient outcomes and safer healthcare environments.
