Abstract

Social media has become an important platform for political communication, information sharing, and civic participation among young adults. Platforms such as social networking sites allow users to access political information, express opinions, participate in discussions, and engage with political campaigns. This paper examines the influence of social media use on political participation among young adults. It focuses on online political discussions, political awareness, digital activism, information sharing, and participation in civic activities. While social media can increase political engagement and provide opportunities for marginalized voices, misinformation, political polarization, and online manipulation remain significant concerns. The study highlights the importance of digital literacy and critical evaluation of online information in promoting informed political participation.
