Abstract

Online education has created new opportunities for students who face geographical, financial, professional, or personal barriers to traditional higher education. This paper examines the role of online education in expanding access to educational opportunities. Online courses and digital platforms provide flexibility and allow learners to access educational materials from different locations and at different times. However, challenges including inadequate internet access, digital inequality, limited interaction, technological difficulties, and concerns about course quality can affect learning experiences. The study highlights the importance of accessible technology, quality online instruction, student support, and effective digital learning policies.
